Zoe Oliver never wanted to be on another reality TV show… until Chip Cormack made an offer too good to refuse. He’s guaranteed her a payday this time and a chance to redeem herself in America’s eyes. But Zoe worries she won’t be able to focus as her desire for Chip grows and her strength to resist him weakens. When she learns she’ll be roughing it in the woods with Chip and without luxuries like indoor plumbing and electricity, she’s instantly on edge, feeling naked and terrified that her scars will be exposed and her secrets revealed. When Zoe’s past turns up on the show, she fears she’ll lose not only the life she’s sacrificed everything else to have, but also the affections of the only man she’s ever trusted with her heart.
YAY!! The third and final book in Ms. Thurmeier’s Reality TV series is finally here! Having read both Falling for You and Stuck on You and loving them, I was looking forward to the release of Lost Without You immensely. In this book, Zoe is the primary character along with Chip Cormack, the show producer (who always manages to keep inviting Zoe back for some reason). As everyone’s favorite bitch in Falling for You, it was so nice to see a little bit kinder side of Zoe in Stuck on You. I have wondered however, which Zoe will show up in Lost Without You. Now, I have always kind of pictured Zoe like Phoebe Tonkin from The Circle/Vampire Diaries/The Originals.
What do you think? I figure that the characters she has played on TV are about as insecure and in need of love and friendship as Zoe is, don’t you? Yes, in book 3, we find out that there is much more to Ms. Zoe Oliver than meets the eye. She finally gets her very own romance with Chip and Heather does an excellent job of making it seem believable and real. Don’t you worry though. The Zoe we have come to know and love (to hate) still makes her appearance. She does some really dumb things and you will still want to smack her so all is right with the World.
To keep things spicy, the road to true love does not, of course, run smoothly. Zoe and Chip have to work through all of the other petty little contestants and their daggers they aim at Zoe’s back, blackmail from a source that will catch you by surprise, plus the misery that comes along with roughing it…and I don’t mean barefoot at the Marriott Hotel. In the end though, we get the happy ending that at least I have grown to want for everyone, even Ms. Zoe.
If you have not read the other two books, never fear. I think that they can all stand alone just fine. Of course, if you want several pieces of excellent, light (but not trite) and perfectly paced romance reading, be sure to pick up all three books in the series. I know you will be glad you did!!
4 Stars! 3 Flames!
