After reading Witch Way Bend, I knew I liked Olivia Hardin and her writing but until I read Shifty Business, I did not realize just how much! Today I am lucky enough to have my interview with her for you as well as my own review of her newest book. Don't forget to enter the awesome giveaway too!
Blurb:
In the third book in the Bend-Bite-Shift Trilogy, Gerry Hinton thought she
had the perfect career as an operative for the Company. Her next
assignment should have been another "mission accomplished", but hell was
delivering hand baskets that day. When a little girl gives a mysterious silver box to Gerry, her world self-destructs. Suddenly under constant mental attacks, the only person who can save her is her partner, Nicky--but nothing comes without a cost. Secrets buried deep in the past begin to rise, threatening everything she holds dear.
If she can't out run her past, can she save her future?
Olivia Hardin has taken some time out of her busy schedule to visit with me today. Please help me make her feel welcome!
Liberty Ann: Welcome Olivia!
Olivia: Thanks!
Liberty Ann: First off, how has your week been?
Olivia: Fabulous. The characters in my MAUCs Series have been impatiently chattering away in my mind, so I’m glad I’m getting to jump back into writing them. How are you?
Liberty Ann: Doing well, thank you. ::grin:: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how long you’ve been writing?
Olivia: I’ve been writing since I was probably about 15. My classmates knew me for the spiral notebooks I used to carry around, scribbling stories daily. I let life interrupt my dream of being a writer for a while, but when I “picked up the pen” again a few years ago it was like coming home. I truly love it!
Olivia: Thanks!

Liberty Ann: Wow, that gives me goose bumps! I guess when something is meant to be, it is meant to be. Can you share with us what have you had published to-date?
Olivia: Well, I have the Bend-Bite-Shift
Trilogy: Witch Way Bends, Bitten Shame and Shifty Business. Also, I published a novelette titled Trolling for Trouble which is the first
in my MAUCs Series. In addition to
those, I’ve also published short stories in the Cupid Painted Blind and Once
Upon a Midnight Dreary Anthologies.
Liberty Ann: That's really exciting. So fill us in
on your current release!
Olivia: ShiftyBusiness is the third book in my Bend-Bite-Shift Trilogy. We briefly met Gerry and Nicky during book
one of the series. In Shifty we get to
find out what was happening to the pair while we were following the other
characters at the start of the trilogy.
It turns out Gerry and Nicky are married, but that is just the beginning
of the secrets that get revealed during the book.
Liberty Ann: Well I LOVED it! Do you have a favorite chapter in it?
Olivia: I'm so glad and yes!
The chapter when Nicky finally discovers how to save Gerry from her
coma. I won’t give away how he rescues
her, but the raw affection he expresses in that chapter and the way he forces
his way through something that seems like it should be wrong, but is right
because it will bring her back to him.
It was a difficult chapter to write because I was afraid I couldn’t do
it justice, and may that’s part of why it’s my favorite.
Liberty Ann: Oh I loved that part! You totally did it justice. ::grin:: Which character seems like they speak the loudest to you?
Olivia: They kind of take turns, but all of them
scream at me from time to time. When I was
writing book one of the trilogy Roon seemed to inject himself into my brain at
inopportune times. He did the same thing
during book three… he’d better not get quiet when I start writing his book
later this year!
Liberty Ann: No, he'd best not! So what books
are you reading now?
Olivia: I’m in the middle of reading Pressure Point by Charles Colyott. I read the first book in his Randall Lee
Mysteries Series, Changes and it
almost made my giddy when I realized he was a fellow indie author.
Liberty Ann: Okay, now a very important question. ::leans in toward Olivia:: Dogs or cats? ::grin::
Olivia: Dogs. I have the cutest, and I mean the absolute
cutest little Corgi mix. She’s short
haired so it makes her ears stick up like huge radars. When she greets me at the door after a day of
work… well, there isn’t anything better!
Liberty Ann: He sounds adorable. You'll have to send me a picture. :) Okay, last question: If you could spend a whole day with one of your characters , where would
you go and what would you do? Oh and plenty of details please! ::wink::
Olivia: Hmmm… I get the feeling you’re looking for
something “swoon-worthy”. Hahaha! I think of all of my male leads to date, Doc
in Bitten Shame is the hottest. So maybe
ol’ Doc and I could go out dancing together.
I can jitter bug just as well as Jill can and goodness help us if “I
Can’t Help Falling In Love” comes up because that slow romantic song in Doc’s
arms would just be… ahhhh… of course, we all realize Jill would tear me to
shreds and enjoy it if this happened.
Liberty Ann: Obviously I have more reading to do. ::HUGE grin:: Olivia, thank you so much for talking with me. It was so fun getting to hear about all that is going on with you. Best of everything with Shifty Business and all of your writing!
Olivia: It was my pleasure.
Liberty Ann: Ladies and Gentlemen, Olivia Hardin!

About the Author:
Olivia Hardin always realized how strange she was to have complete
movie-like character dreams as a child. Eventually she began putting
those vivid dreams to paper and was rarely without her spiral notebooks
full of those mental ramblings. Her forgotten vision of becoming an
author was realized when she connected with a group of amazingly
talented and fabulous writers who gave her lots of direction and
encouragement. With a little extra push from family and friends, she
hunkered down to get lost in the words.
She’s also an insatiable
crafter who only completes about 1 out of 5 projects, a jogger who hates
to run, and is sometimes accused of being artistic, though she’s
generally too much of a perfectionist to appreciate her own work.
A
native Texas girl, Olivia lives in the beautiful Lone Star state with
her husband and their puppy Bonnie.
